The Foo Fighters Are Ending Their Hiatus

The FOO FIGHTERS have been pretty quiet over the past year and a half . . . and during that time, singer DAVE GROHL did THEM CROOKED VULTURES with JOSH HOMME and JOHN PAUL JONES.

But Dave says the break is over, and the Foo Fighters have already begun work on their next album.  It sounds like the band is going old-school.  They’ve hired producer BUTCH VIG . . . who did the NIRVANA classic “Nevermind” 20 years ago.  And Dave says they’re recording the album ANALOG . . . out of his garage.

He added, quote, “I think this could be our heaviest album yet.”

They haven’t actually recorded anything yet, so there’s obviously no word on a release date.  Grohl said in a separate interview that he’d like to start laying down tracks in September . . . after Them Crooked Vultures finishes their second album.
